This Symposium is one of the most significant processes in the GESL program and its history to discuss on the future directions of this Program by all the GESL Members, Professors and Staffs.

In this symposium, we have a great opportunity to show how our global leaders from GESL effective in global society by presenting alumni' activities, how effective of our curriculum/system to educate global leaders by presenting current students' and alumni' activities, and what kind of bright future we could expect bringing by our global leaders from GESL by presenting our original motivation and continuous discussion of professors, staffs, and RAs. To realize them, the essential aims/objectives are summarized as follows;

The Global Environmental System Leaders (GESL) Program aims to develop students into leaders equipped with the breadth of knowledge, awareness, and skills to achieve recovery and persistent improvement of the global environment and the initiative to drive the design and creation of technological and social systems for the world’s natural and social environments.

This is achieved in an international collaborative education and research framework comprising an international training system, a remote collaboration system, and an International Academia-Industry-NPO Collaborative Advisory Group.

The GESL Symposium 2018 will focus on the futures of global leaders developed by the GESL program with both members of international research institutions and business enterprises, wherein global environmental system leaders will be expected to play active roles.
